About Nevada Historical Society
The Austin Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation, exhibition, storage, education, and maintenance of the heritage of Lander County and vicinity of Austin as well as supporting the legislation pertaining to the goals of the society. The Austin Historical society funds and maintains the Austin Historical Museum, and many members of the historical society are involved in running the museum as well.
